Armed with a master’s degree in Psychology, I started working as a recruitment consultant in 2013. I have learned a great deal about the tensions between business priorities and the interests of the individual. Now, together with my colleagues at YER, I work to continually improve our Talent Development Programs (TDPs) so they are accessible to as many starters as possible. Our TDPs enhance skills in the finance, government, IT, engineering, construction and HR sectors, among others. I strive to use my broad expertise to increase people’s job satisfaction. By giving candidates a clearer sense of their talents and challenges, I help them achieve their personal ambitions. I make a point of listening carefully, summarizing and asking relevant follow-up questions. It is also essential to agree common goals and shared responsibilities. After all, if people know themselves better, they will be happier and more successful in their work.
