About YER

YER was founded in 1987 by Jaap Kooijman. While studying part-time at HEAO and working at a staffing agency, he spotted a gap between temporary staffing and executive search: Young Executive Recruitment, connecting young HBO graduates and academics with the right opportunities. The first YER professionals were ambitious fellow students of Jaap, who started careers in sales, marketing, and finance.

Nearly 40 years later, we still connect top talent with top organizations across the Netherlands, Europe, and the US. One thing hasn’t changed: we love getting people moving—with ambition.
