Our story

YER was founded in 1987 by Jaap Kooijman. While studying part time and working at a staffing agency, he identified a gap between temporary staffing and executive search: Young Executive Recruitment, focused on connecting young graduates and academics with the right opportunities. The first YER professionals were ambitious fellow students who started careers in sales, marketing, and finance. Nearly 40 years later, we still connect top talent with leading organizations across the Netherlands, Europe, and the United States. One thing has remained the same: we bring ambition into motion with energy and enthusiasm.
