Context of the Position
This role sits at the core of Finance transformation, where AI is shifting from a supporting tool to an active decision-making component.
You will operate in a highly cross-functional environment, connecting Finance stakeholders, data teams, and enterprise IT. The focus is on embedding AI directly into financial processes, ensuring solutions are not only technically sound, but also explainable, compliant, and adopted in day-to-day operations.
The position requires navigating complex enterprise landscapes (e.g., SAP-driven processes, cloud platforms) and influencing stakeholders across different levels of the organization. You will play a key role in scaling AI capabilities and shaping how agentic systems are governed and deployed within Finance.

As a Senior AI Systems Engineer, you will design, build, and scale intelligent AI-driven systems that support and augment financial decision-making.
You will go beyond traditional machine learning by developing agentic AI solutions capable of reasoning, planning, and acting within defined business and compliance constraints. These systems integrate statistical models, machine learning, and rule-based logic into end-to-end workflows.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and develop agentic AI systems for finance use cases (forecasting, optimization, anomaly detection, decision support)
- Translate complex financial challenges into scalable AI-driven decision systems
- Integrate AI solutions into enterprise environments (e.g., SAP, Azure, Databricks)
- Ensure solutions are robust, explainable, and compliant with financial regulations
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and analytics teams to embed AI into daily operations
- Drive continuous improvement by monitoring and evolving deployed systems
- Act as a technical counterpart to stakeholders, bridging business needs and AI capabilities
- Contribute to scaling best practices and reusable AI frameworks across the organization
Technical Expertise
- Strong background in machine learning, statistics, and advanced analytics
- Experience designing and deploying production-grade AI/ML systems
- Hands-on experience with Python, R, Databricks, Azure ML (or similar platforms)
- Experience integrating models into business applications or enterprise systems (e.g., SAP)
AI & Systems Thinking
- Experience with or strong interest in:
- Agentic AI / autonomous systems
- Model orchestration and tool integration
- Human-in-the-loop system design
- Ability to combine ML, rules, and process logic into cohesive systems
Business & Transformation
- Proven ability to translate business problems into AI solutions
- Experience embedding analytics into end-to-end processes
- Strong understanding of governance, explainability, and compliance
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders

Education
