Your Challenge
You will strengthen a high-performing development team focused on next-generation mechatronic and imaging systems. As a Software Design Engineer with AI-driven development expertise, you will design intelligent software components and autonomous AI agents that drive real-time performance, automation, and continuous learning.
What You’ll Do
1. Design and Implement Intelligent Software Systems
- Architect and develop high-quality software components in Python (and/or C++ (C++11 or higher) , balancing real-time performance with reliability and maintainability.
- Translate design specifications into robust, efficient, and user-friendly software aligned with medical and scientific quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and documentation standards expected in regulated, mission-critical environments.
2. Build Autonomous AI Agents & Smart Workflows
- Design, implement, and deploy autonomous AI agents that orchestrate complex workflows via APIs and LLM-driven logic.
- Apply LangChain, AI orchestration, and multi-agent frameworks to automate tasks, optimize system performance, and accelerate development.
- Use GitHub Copilot (Agent Mode) and AI-powered tooling to enhance productivity and code quality.
3. Engineer Data-Driven & Scalable Architectures
- Integrate data processing pipelines using REST APIs, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and other high-throughput communication systems.
- Build backend services with Flask or .NET, and modern frontends in React or Angular to visualize and control mechatronic and imaging subsystems.
- Containerize and deploy with Docker and Kubernetes, following DevSecOps and CI/CD best practices.
4. Enable Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with unit and integration tests.
- Collaborate in cross-functional Agile teams, engaging in pair programming, code reviews, and continuous process improvement.
- Bring an AI-first mindset, championing automation, code intelligence, and AI-assisted development across the team.

- 8+ years of professional experience in software design for real-time, performance-critical systems.
- Deep expertise in Python, with a strong understanding of software architecture and systems integration.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development (Copilot, code agents, or custom AI developer tools).
- Strong focus on code quality, testing, and continuous integration.
- Operating in Cloud Native & containerized environments, (GCP, Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker)
- Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset — thriving in multidisciplinary environments where hardware, software, and AI meet
- Experience in C++, with a strong understanding of software architecture and systems integration
- Experience developing software for mechatronics or robotic systems, integrating complex hardware and control software.
- Familiarity with regulated industries (medical, scientific, automotive, aerospace).
- Background in scientific imaging or data-intensive workflows, including image processing (TIFF, MRC) and metadata management.
