For the European headqueartes of an international company we are recruiting an Interim Finance & Accounting Manager. You will be responsible for managing local finance & accounting with complying all local legislations and accounting standards.


  • Lead and manage monthly and quarterly closing
  • Lead and manage year-end closing including statutory audit
  • Lead and manage day to day accounting and payments (operational support from service provider abroad)
  • Be a first point of local contacts with external stakeholders (e.g. Banks, Auditors, Tax advisors, Lawyers…)
  • Prepare, monitor and manage local budget, cash-flow / forecast (EMEA rolling forward cash projection) with CFO
  • Support CFO for all financial / managerial reporting to the management and stakeholders
  • Tax compliance (e.g. CIT, VAT, TP)
  • Perform internal control (J-SOx) related activities (e.g. self-review)
  • Monitor changes and updates in local legislations and accounting standards and report to MD / CFO
  • Monitor frequently internal policies
  • Manage Finance & Accounting department (operational support from service provider abroad)
  • Manage and supervise outsourced services (to BU’s / DEU)
  • Manage and supervise regional cash forecast consolidation / analysis and report to CFO
  • Manage and supervise the EMEA Cash Management operations
  • Manage and maintain accounting controls and related policies
  • Manage office administration
  • Manage NL VAT and EU VAT (eg. 2020 VAT Quick fix/simplified)
  • Manage the required system changes by among others give the IT department the requirements (speaking the language of IT colleagues)
  • Manage and advice Senior Management on internal policies

We are looking for an Finance & Accounting Manager with experience working in an organization with multiple entities with good knowledge of management & financial accounting (NL GAAP and some IFRS experience), a good understanding of supply chain (P2P to OTC) with the ability to follow-up on changes in system and business processes within the present commissionaire structure, including its VAT flows. Enough experience with ERP-system SAP (FI, MM, SD) and worked before with for example PowerBI. The candidate must have excellent knowledge of the English language, in speech and writing. Must also handle hard deadlines and can work stand-alone with a pro-active attitude in being the controlling tower and coordinator. And therefore having good communication skills with colleagues in Europe to get together the job done and on time.
