The Equipment Engineer supports the Equipment and Process Engineering (EPE) organization by maintaining, initiating and implementing technical improvements and providing support to the production organization. The wet process department is characterized as a modern technical organization with a strong focus on improvements.

We are a diversified team with high energy, an open collaborative environment and an eagerness for continuous improvement. The team consists of 8-12 engineers and is mainly focused on supporting production and actively working to improve product quality and tool capacity. As an Equipment Engineer you are responsible for a tool park where you focus on the more complex problems.

In addition to analyzing and solving problems, you actively develop and introduce improvements in the areas of product quality, throughput, waste reduction, cost savings and reduction of repeaters. In addition, you (together with EPE colleagues, technicians and operators) support production so that the ICN8 organization can perform excellently. As an equipment engineer you report to the Manager EPE IMPLANT/WET/TWM.

Functie

The responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving your tool park, which meets the safety and quality requirements and the applicable standards and validation improvements on the work floor.
  • Proactively connects with production and contributes improvement ideas regarding structural technical problems, quality related issues and bottleneck issues. If applicable, involves other sections and departments and directs these actions towards successful implementation.
  • Uses technical knowledge and experience to contribute to improvement projects.
  • Defines the required tool capacity and ensures the correct availability of production tools. Initiates upgrades, supports maintenance actions and resolves security issues.
  •   Proactively monitors quality and analyzes/reports incidents related to issues with your tool park.

Profiel

Education:

  • To be successful in this role you will have a BSc. or MSc. level in automotive engineering, electronics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or any other relevant engineering field.
  • Knowledge of complex production processes in a high-tech environment (preferably)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, process optimization, statistical machine control, FMEA and quality management systems (preferred)

Desired experience:

  • Ability to master the complex manufacturing process and the technologies used
  • Knowledge of equipment and process technical aspects of the semiconductor industry
  • Knowledge of SPC, basic knowledge of statistical analysis
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office
  •   Analytical and rational thinking skills
  • Continuously find/develop and implement new methodologies that enable performance improvement
