Solarclarity is a fast growing B2B E-commerce company in the solar industry. In the next few years there will be major developments in the field of solar panels, inverters, batteries, mounting systems and energy management. The organization wants to support customers as much as possible by offering them the right products, service and information. The role of Senior Buyer will be crucial in the success of the organization.
As a Senior Buyer you will manage your own purchase portfolio. You make sure that Solarclarity has their brands in stock, you win the best deals, you’ll manage the contracts with suppliers and you know all the trends and developments within the market which you can translate to the rest of the organization. Solarclarity will be expanding business to more and more European countries, which means that you’re standing at the beginning of a new phase for the company, which offers many opportunities for development and growth.
Your mission will be to plan and order products based on forecasted demand to serve customers with the correct stock level. You keep a close eye on market developments regarding new products, prices and development costs. In addition, you identify points for improvement within the purchasing processes and you are given complete freedom to implement them. In this position you report to the Purchasing Manager and work closely with the Product Management, Operations and Sales departments.
Solarclarity is a B2B E-commerce platform and PV distributor of solar hardware, batteries and charging stations. The company’s office is located in Weesp, near Amsterdam. It provides its customers - small and medium-sized installers - with an excellent user experience, consisting of an extensive range of products, sound advice and fast delivery and service. The company’s geographic market focus is aiming its activities on the Benelux, France, Germany and the Nordics. Solarclarity’s automated approach enables the company to be highly scalable and work on its expansion to other European countries.
In the years ahead, the energy transition will necessitate large-scale developments in respect of energy management, transformers and batteries. To respond to this need, another company in the Solarclarity Group has developed the Bliq energy management platform.

Furthermore we are looking for a candidate with:
- a bachelor or master’s degree;
- similar experience in B2B technology or electronics;
- a commercial attitude to realize our growth ambitions;
- experience in managing an international supply base;
- flexibility; no day is the same in our Solarcoaster;
- extensive knowledge of an ERP system (e.g. AFAS and/or Slim Stock) is a big plus.
