Over deze vacature
Are you interested in sustainable energy and are you commercially minded? Are you skilled at translating data into action? And do you believe that responsibility for the most future-proof category in the solar industry would be in safe hands with you? If you can answer “yes” to these three questions, the position of Senior Category Manager at Solarclarity, a B2B E-commerce organization, is the right role for you.
The capacity of today's electricity grid is under pressure, making it even more important for us to store energy effectively. You can do your bit towards making this happen in this role, in which you will be responsible for the further growth of the batteries category. You will work with the other Category Manager to put together and implement a full-range portfolio plan. Your mission will be to seamlessly align the Solarclarity product-market combinations with the wishes of (future) customers and optimize the company’s margins.
You will do this by advising customers on the right Solarclarity products and services for them and by ensuring that Solarclarity’s mission - ‘solar made simple’ - is clear in the range as a whole. You will have an in-depth knowledge of your product and translate technical information into a clear sales strategy. You will be responsible for pricing, turnover and margins. You will also define product-market combinations for the short and long term and closely monitor technical developments achieved by manufacturers and competitors. Finally, you will take responsibility for the specification of online tools that will make it easier for your customers to buy Solarclarity’s products
Solarclarity is a B2B E-commerce platform and PV distributor of solar hardware, batteries and charging stations. The company’s office is in Weesp, near Amsterdam. It provides its customers - small and medium-sized installers - with an excellent user experience, consisting of an extensive range of products, sound advice and fast delivery and service. The company focuses its activities on the Benelux, France, Germany and the Nordics. Solarclarity’s automated approach enables the company to be highly scalable and work on its expansion to other European countries.
In the years ahead, the energy transition will necessitate large-scale developments in respect of energy management, transformers and batteries. To respond to this need, another company in the Solarclarity Group has developed the Bliq energy management platform.
Solarclarity’s mission is to accelerate energy transition to a clean and sustainable energy supply. The organization has won various prizes, including the FD Gazelle Award and a number of Top Brand PV Awards. For more information about the organization, see https://ap.lc/86nlw
A high level of freedom and responsibility in a flat, informal organization in which initiative is rewarded. The company is growing fast and changing continually, because of which there will be many development opportunities for you. Your fixed salary will be €52,000-€78,000. You will also have 25 days holiday and be free on 2 January every year. Other benefits are a good pension scheme, an employee participation plan (because growing is something you do together) and a hybrid work policy (50/50). During your working week, a delicious lunch is served every day and Friday afternoon drinks are organized every week, either in the company bar or on the roof terrace.
You will have a strong personality and not shy away from debates. You will be flexible too - because no two days are ever the same on the Solarcoaster. Besides this, you will be a team player with a can-do mentality and have a good spoken and written command of English - because that’s the language of communication at Solarclarity. You will also:
- have an HBO (higher professional education) or university degree, preferably in a technical subject;
- have gained similar experience in (B2B2C) category management,
- have experience or a strong affinity with technology or electronics;
- be analytical and have experience with Excel and preferably Power BI too;
- be commercially minded;
- ideally have a knowledge of transformers.
