As Lead Engineer Piping, you will be an integral part of one of our multidisciplinary project teams responsible for delivering our yachts. In this role, you report to the Engineering Coordinator.
As the Lead Engineer, you take ownership of the piping discipline and bring strong, in-depth technical expertise. You actively review and assess project development information and scope definitions during the pre-construction phase, ensuring clarity and technical feasibility.
Throughout the engineering phase, you safeguard the quality of all piping-related deliverables and ensure proper coordination and integration with other engineering disciplines. You are responsible for the timely delivery of accurate arrangement drawings and technical specifications, fully aligned with the Building Specification and applicable standards, design codes, and regulations.
You review and approve engineering documents, monitor scope completeness, and take the initiative in resolving complex technical challenges. Where required, you implement corrective actions and closely monitor progress to guarantee high-quality results within agreed timelines.
You structure and coordinate the engineering activities in a way that project objectives are achieved efficiently and on schedule. In addition, you collaborate closely with external partners in a co-makership setting, identifying and realising synergies based on mutual expertise and professional collaboration.

- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in a relevant technical discipline
- At least 5 years of experience within the shipbuilding industry
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in piping engineering
- Proficient in MS Office and experienced with AutoCAD and/or Rhinoceros
- Strong analytical skills, results-driven mindset, excellent planning and organisational abilities, and persuasive communication skills
