A versatile role for a strategic self-starter who thrives on data, structure, and growth — and wants to play a key part in the professionalization and international expansion of Europe’s fastest-growing e-commerce platform in the renewable energy sector.
As E-Commerce Platform Specialist, you are responsible for the optimal performance and further development of Search4solar’s B2B marketplace. You ensure that vendors can easily upload their products, that the product database is accurate and complete, and that the platform continues to evolve both technically and commercially.
Beyond daily operations in Shopify Plus, you will take a central role in driving platform innovation. Working closely with the management team, you define the strategic roadmap and coordinate the implementation of new features, integrations, and automations together with external software partners.
You act as the coordinating lead for external developers — understanding the technical details well enough to challenge, guide, and initiate improvements yourself.
You’ll work with Shopify Plus, Webkul, HubSpot, and Exact, playing a key role in building integrations, automations, and data-driven growth across the platform.
Key Responsibilities- Take end-to-end ownership of the further development and growth of the e-commerce platform, in close collaboration with the MT.
- Coordinate and manage external partners in developing and implementing new functionalities, integrations, and optimizations.
- Maintain and optimize the Shopify Plus backend (product structures, categories, filters).
- Support vendors with product uploads via Webkul, CSV imports, or Excel templates.
- Review and enhance product data (pricing, specifications, visuals).
- Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of API integrations with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Create dashboards and reports on product range, pricing, and vendor activity.
- Improve SEO and visibility of product and brand pages.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales on vendor campaigns.
- Contribute ideas for digitalization and AI applications, such as automated vendor onboarding and intelligent product feeds.

- Based in either The Netherlands (Barendrecht), Spain (Valencia) and or hybride.
- At least 3 years of experience with Shopify Plus or a similar e-commerce platform.
- Strong knowledge of product feeds, CSV imports, API integrations, and data quality.
- Experience with marketplace modules (e.g. Webkul) or PIM systems is a strong advantage.
- Analytical, structured, and communicative — able to collaborate across teams.
- Experience in an e-commerce or marketplace environment.
- Affinity with renewable energy or technical products is a plus.
- Excellent command of English; proficiency in German or Spanish is an advantage.
