We are seeking an Interim Head of Legal
We are seeking an experienced Head of Legal to lead our global legal and compliance function on an interim basis. Reporting directly to the CFO and serving as a member of the Extended Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in shaping our global legal strategy, strengthening governance, and ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
You will lead an established legal team that manages operational legal work, while focusing your efforts on strategic leadership, governance, and building scalable frameworks for international growth.
Responsibilities
- Executive Leadership: Partner with the CFO and other members of the leadership team to provide strategic legal guidance on high-impact priorities.
- Legal Operations Excellence: Build and scale world-class processes, playbooks and automation tools to streamline workflows and reduce inefficiency.
- Corporate Governance: Lead governance across the group - including board management, internal policies, and regulatory filings - ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Oversee regulatory compliance globally (GDPR/data privacy and other tech related regulatory regimes), designing scalable risk frameworks adapted to local environments.
- Commercial Leadership: Support the legal team in complex or high-impact negotiations, stepping in on strategic matters while ensuring overall commercial contracts reflect balanced risk and enable growth.
- External Counsel Framework: Establish and manage a global network of law firm partners, ensuring quality, alignment, and cost-effectiveness across multiple jurisdictions.
- Mentorship & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing international legal team. Provide coaching, prioritization, and structure to elevate impact and develop future leaders.

- start as soon as possible until mid-June 2026
- 40 hours per week (minimum 32 hours per week)
- Qualified lawyer with 10–15 years of experience, including senior in-house roles in multinational environments.
- Strong foundation in corporate and commercial law, with broad expertise in governance, compliance, and risk.
- Demonstrated success advising executive teams and boards on complex, high-impact strategic decisions.
- Proven ability to build best-in-class legal operations through scalable processes, playbooks, and legal technology adoption.
- Skilled in managing and coordinating global external counsel networks.
- A strong leader and mentor, capable of further shaping and strengthening a functionally centralized but geographically dispersed legal team.
- Exceptional communicator with the ability to translate legal complexity into clear, practical business advice.
- Fluent in English & Dutch.
