Investment Manager- Treasury Private Markets
Nexent Bank is expanding its Private Markets capability within Treasury. We are looking for a sharp, organized, and eager-to-learn Private Markets Associate to join the team.
In this role, you will work directly alongside the Head of Treasury to support the execution of the bank’s alternative investment strategy. You will gain broad exposure to a diverse mix of asset classes, including Fund Financing, Dutch Residential Mortgages, and Structured Secured Lending.
This is not a specialized product role; it is a generalist position designed for a professional who enjoys the mechanics of deal-making. You will be the operational and analytical engine behind the team, ensuring that transactions move smoothly from initial screening to closing and lifecycle management.
You will support the Treasury team by managing the flow of data, documents, and decisions required to build and maintain a high-quality portfolio.
- Review incoming investment opportunities, such as Information Memorandums and term sheets, to assess their fit with the bank’s commercial strategy and risk appetite.
- Coordinate the end-to-end deal execution process by acting as the central link between internal stakeholders (Legal, Credit Risk, Operations) and external parties.
- Analyze portfolio performance data to track key metrics, identifying trends in prepayments, arrears, or collateral values that require management attention.
- Support the preparation of investment proposals and internal committee presentations, ensuring all commercial data is accurate and well-structured.
- Manage the operational onboarding of new transactions, ensuring security interests are properly documented and deals are accurately booked in internal systems.
- Maintain relationships with external partners, such as third-party originators and syndicate desks, to ensure smooth communication and efficient data exchange.
Nexent Bank is an international niche bank offering a dynamic portfolio of products to corporate and retail clients. With over 1,000 colleagues in seven countries and headquartered in Amsterdam (Southeast), we proudly serve our international client base while strengthening our organization. We aim to be an adaptive, efficient, and sustainable bank, focusing on achieving investment-grade status and further embedding digitalization.
The 3 key pillars are:
- Rethink and redesign: Integrating digitalization and sustainability while creating a clearer organizational structure and governance.
- Future fit: Optimizing and expanding our business lines, remaining specialized, and exploring growth in other channels.
- Stronger together: Placing people at the heart of the bank, strengthening leadership, enhancing transparency and engagement, and building alignment within our banking group.
- High Visibility: You will work directly with the Head of Treasury and be part of generating new asset classes that are under focus of the bank’s management.
- Broad Development: You will develop a versatile skillset across multiple asset classes.
- Culture: A dynamic environment with a flat hierarchy where your input is valued.
- Benefits Package:
- Competitive salary and 13th month.
- Hybrid working model (50/50) with home office setup budget.
- "Work from Anywhere" policy (4 weeks per year).
- Comprehensive pension and collective health insurance.
- Mobility/Bike plan.
We are looking for a collaborative team player who combines financial literacy with a strong "can-do" mentality. You do not need to be an expert in these specific asset classes yet, but you must have the professional maturity to manage complex processes.
- Experience: 3–5 years in Banking, Consultancy, Transaction Services, or a related financial role.
- Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: You are proficient in Excel and comfortable handling financial data and reporting.
- Mindset: You are organized, detail-oriented, and take ownership of your tasks. You enjoy building processes and learning new financial concepts.
- Communication: Fluent in English (Dutch is considered an asset).
