This position is for a Lead Engineer to guide the engineering team in designing and integrating complex electrical systems on superyachts. You will take ownership of technical design and ensure quality across all engineering deliverables.
As Lead Engineer you manage engineers responsible for third-party supplier systems, including the creation of cable plans, system schematics, panel drawings and commissioning reports. You design main and sub-distribution panels and oversee the related engineering work. You validate and control the generated work, maintain comprehensive design dossiers including short-circuit, selectivity, heat-loss calculations and power balances, and guide the creation of manufacturing and commissioning protocols. You track project planning, manage hours budgeting, and resolve uncertainties related to third-party system integration. Clear communication with the project team and clients is essential.
You will join a leading electrical system integrator in the Dutch superyacht sector, active across multiple top-tier shipyards. The organisation handles full lifecycle system integration for onboard systems, including both in-house and third-party designs, from initial engineering through installation and commissioning. - Salary aligned with experience under the applicable technical installation collective labour agreement
