Design Engineer/ On Product Performance Engineer - ASML Netherlands B.V.

Introduction to the job

Would you like to work in a multidisciplinary team, working on cutting edge technology, providing innovative wafer fab solutions to our customer’s challenges? You will contribute to the improvement of on-product overlay by developing and integrating wafer fab applications that optimize the alignment between layers, consisting of printed features on product wafers and thus contributing to customer’s yield and profitability. 

Job Summary

We are seeking a design engineers to specify, design, develop, integrate, and test (sub-)modules and tools in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. You will contribute to the realization of competitive, achievable, and serviceable products within system specifications, cost constraints, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex technical designs and own modules requiring contributions from multiple engineers.
• Develop and document high-level and detailed designs, ensuring alignment with architectural and interface requirements.
• Be responsible for designing and prototyping models in Matlab
• Analyze data coming from our customers
• Deliver validated product improvement proposals that can be implemented by software engineers.
• Integrate sub-systems, manage configurations, and support project execution.
• Define and deliver parts of product solutions autonomously.
• Ensure product quality through rigorous testing and validation procedures.
• Support project planning, risk management, and effort estimation.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and communicate design choices effectively.
• Stay current with technological advancements and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Education and experience

To help us tackle the technical challenges we face, you’ll need experience working on hightech products and with complex processes. As senior on Product performance engineer, you’ll need:

• Master's degree or PHD in physics, Mathematics or Engineering (Mechanical, Optical, Electrical, Chemical), with a solid background in statistics, data analysis, optics, semiconductor process technology or semiconductor device physics.
• We are looking for people with 0-5 years of experience in an industrial research, development, or process control organization and preferably experience with overlay and/or wafer alignment within the semiconductor industry.
