Structural Engineer

• Translate client requirements into robust structural solutions within gas-turbine auxiliary equipment and fabrication projects.
• Perform structural analyses, sizing calculations (e.g., stress, fatigue, buckling), and generate design deliverables in 3D modelling & technical drawings.
• Develop & review engineering documentation: BOMs, materials lists, fabrication interface documents, and collaborate with suppliers & fabricators.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams (Design, Simulation, Project Management) to ensure structural scopes meet schedule, budget, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with internal standards, client specifications, and applicable codes/regulations.
• Support manufacturing preparation, interface checks, and site/inspection visits as required.

Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3-5+ years’ experience in structural engineering or mechanical design within heavy fabrication, steel structures, pressure equipment or similar environment.
• Proven experience in structural analysis (e.g., FEA, hand calculations), interpretation of engineering drawings and specification of structural components.
• Experience with 3D modelling tools (e.g., Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and familiarity with engineering documentation systems (Vault, ERP) is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Strong analytical capabilities: able to perform calculations for stress, load, material selection, connection design, fatigue, etc.
• Ability to interpret and generate complex structural drawings and documentation.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes (steel, welds, plate/tube fabrication), materials (carbon steel, stainless, aluminium), and shop/fabrication standards.
• Proficient in English (written & spoken). German is a plus.
