A dedicated service for refit, maintenance, and aftercare of luxury superyachts.
As a Project Engineer, you will assess the feasibility of refit requests and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to execute engineering solutions for refit and service projects.
With your broad technical expertise, you will serve as the primary point of contact for naval architecture and mechanical engineering within each project. You will oversee all technical disciplines, ensuring quality, accuracy, and progress are maintained throughout.
During the execution phase, you will safeguard the integrity of design and engineering principles while providing hands-on support to colleagues and assisting with detailed engineering at the shipyard when required.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Independently performing drafting and calculations related to naval architecture and mechanical systems.
- Addressing general and technical inquiries from the fleet and offering expert advice.
- Collaborating with teams across various Refit & Services locations.
- Enhancing and maintaining engineering knowledge and quality within the team.
Our client is the first point of contact for yacht owners and crew regarding the operation and maintenance of their yachts. Additionally, they work on reconstruction, expansion, or renovation of existing superyachts.
- A salary between €3.300 and €5.000 (full-time) based on your knowledge and experience.
- 38 days off per year (25 vacation days plus 13 additional days).
- Opportunities for personal development through courses and training programs.
- Travel reimbursement at €0.23 per kilometer.
Profile
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering and bring at least three years of experience in ship or yacht building as a mechanical engineer.
- You are proactive, consistently generating innovative ideas and turning them into effective, practical solutions.
- You reside in the Amsterdam area.
Your qualifications include:
- Expertise in naval architecture principles and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with relevant classification standards and national regulations for yachts.
- Proficiency in 2D design and preferably 3D CAD software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English (Dutch is a plus).
- A decisive, persuasive, and resilient mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a client-centric approach.
- A strong focus on service, results, and delivering high-quality solutions.
