As the Site Planning and Logistics Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the planning and logistics functions at our site. This role requires a tactical, hands-on leader who thrives on tackling challenges and is passionate about driving continuous improvement. You will be part of the leadership team and will directly manage two key positions: the Manager of Planning and the Manager of Logistics. The role is responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of Supply Chain Management standard processes. As a member of the site leadership team, the Site Planning & Logistics Manager acts as the "conductor" for planning and logistics, ensuring compliance with management processes and alignment with the rest of the site.This position will be based in Papendrecht (Netherlands).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Oversee Site Planning and Logistics: Develop and implement strategies for efficient site operations, ensuring that all resources, materials, and personnel are effectively managed to meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Tactical Execution: Apply your tactical experience to address day-to-day operational challenges, ensuring smooth workflow and minimizing disruptions in the supply chain and production processes.
- Team Leadership: Engage, mentor, and inspire your team, fostering a collaborative environment where every member feels heard and valued. Lead by example, encouraging proactive problem-solving and innovation.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including engineering, production, and procurement, to ensure seamless coordination and communication across all aspects of site operations.
- Aerospace Expertise: Leverage your experience in the aerospace industry to navigate the unique challenges of our sector, ensuring compliance with industry standards and optimizing processes for maximum efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency gains. Implement best practices and drive initiatives that contribute to the overall success of the organization.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in site planning, logistics management, or a related role within the aerospace industry.
- Proven experience in effectively managing supply chain (logistics & planning) processes and driving operational performance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and engage teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- You possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English, and preferably in Dutch.
- As a team player, you are willing to work closely with others and are flexible in accepting additional responsibilities to achieve the team's and organization's goals.
- Living in the vicinity of Papendrecht, or willing to permanently relocate.
