Fullstack development for ASML focusing on data analytics applications
We are Applications - a novel business line within ASML, one of the world market leaders in scanning lithography technology. We create full-stack software products that run in the most modern Semiconductor Fabs in the world, and we are always pushing the boundary of what is possible.
Our scope is Big Data and how we can make best use of them to allow our customers to gain a deeper understanding into their vast datasets. We believe that data has a story to tell and a proper visualization is the means to achieve that. Are you writing software that enables telling a story in a user-friendly manner?
As a full stack software engineer, you will be part of an agile scrum team that works on design, implementation, testing and maintenance of data analytics frontend software. You will have access to world class engineering facilities and be at the core of our mission to create (big) data analytics platform tailored for Wafer Fab Application. You will work in a fast-paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure.
- Designing software architecture and software API's for new features
- Define detailed design that realizes building block requirements as defined by software architect.
- Developing front-end and back-end services in a service-based architecture (coding mainly in Java and TypeScript).
- Advice Architects, Technical Leads and Product Owners on (technical) decisions
- Review code and coach team members, assist other design engineers on developments
- Create and collaborate on creation of proofs-of-concept, to evaluate new technologies or design directions
- Collaborate with software architects and other senior software engineers so that building blocks are consistent and well-engineered.
- Automated testing of developed software, and contributing to test strategy development.
- Guard the consistency of technical realization of software within your area of responsibility. Make sure the software fulfils license obligations, is well-tested, with minimal technical debt, works well with CI/CD pipelines and is internally consistent.

Experience
- Experience with creation of web-based user interfaces
- Experience with web framework like Spring Boot, Java Enterprise or equivalent
- Experience with SQL (must)
- Proven experience with React.js
- Experience with data visualization libraries
- Expert knowledge of web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks, TypeScript, REST/JSON APIs
- Experience with Git and Git workflow
- Experience with build tools and automation systems (e.g. npm, Webpack, Maven, Gradle)
- Experience with automated software testing (e.g. Jest, Cypress, Cucumber)
- Experience in solving complex design and usability problems and translating them into modern, elegant and simple web interfaces
- Experience with development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum
- Experience with web components is a plus
- Knowledge of Node.js is a plus
- Experience with MongoDB is a plus
- Fluency in English
- +7 years experience
Education
Master Degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent
