Looking for Electronic Engineer with PCBA experience

In this position you are responsible for technical communication and coordination with our OEM suppliers for the introduction of new products (NPI). You generate complete data packages from PCBAs for the OEM. You provide an explanation and answer the technical-related questions. You have periodic consultations with the OEM and with the design team about the progress of the PCBAs. You do this NPI for both the Proto deliveries and the final series deliveries.

In addition to doing the NPI, you also assist the design team with functional testing of the PCBAs in the test lab.

Our client has a leading position in the field of highly qualified radio and network communications, command and control for defense applications and civil organizations. With approximately 200 employees, it develops, produces, installs and maintains both communication equipment and integrated communication systems from Huizen.

About the team

The client's Hardware Engineering department consists or approximately 35 employees.

The primary task of this department is to develop new products for both the mechanical and electronic parts. Production preparations are also a task of Hardware Engineering. Within HW engineering, a new product is developed in multidisciplinary teams of approximately 8 people. As an NPI Engineer you are part of such a team. Hardware Engineering has an extensive test lab equipped with complex measuring instruments where the new PCBAs are functionally tested.

About you

  • You have an HBO diploma in Electrical Engineering (Electronics).
  • At least 2 years of experience in PCBA design
  • You have experience in having PCBAs produced
  • Knowledge of Gerber and ODB files
  • Experience in using CAD tooling for schematic and layout design.
  • Knowledge of test methods and experience in functional testing of PCBAs
  • Knowledge of measuring instruments such as signal analyzers, oscilloscopes and similar ones
  • You have good communication skills and enjoy working in a team
  • Good command of the English language.
  • You have reasonable knowledge of components.
  • You are meticulous and strive for a high level of quality
  • You are eager to learn and willing to follow education and training 

Requirements:

  • Experience with Cadance
  • Experience with version management and configuration tooling (GIT/Windchill)
  • You have knowledge of the production and testing process of PCBAs
  • Working in scrum teams
