Do you have a proven track record organizing events and trade shows, and are you a strategic event manager who is curious and proactive? For Alfen, we are looking for an Event Manager with excellent communications and organizational skills.
The position of Event Manager is both interesting and versatile, as you will be in charge of the strategic planning and execution of the company’s external events, including tradeshows. Your creativity, leadership, and meticulous attention to detail will be the key ingredients in planning and executing a wide array of events from product launches and conferences to customer events or exhibitions, both national and international. As a leader, you will be responsible for creating a vision to best position Alfen and its solutions and bringing it to life and ensuring each event is a resounding success.

- Conceptualize, plan, and execute outstanding events that align with the brand of Alfen and objectives;
- Initiate new events or speaking engagements for Alfen;
- Foster creativity and critical thinking while also collaborating with other departments;
- Create experiences and content for events that resonates with their target audience;
- Own the whole event process and initiate new ideas and approaches.
- Work with a variety of stakeholders, including marketing, communications, sales, product management and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless event coordination.

The ideal person for this position possesses the following credentials and skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree and at least 5 years of experience in event management, with experience in handling large-scale events in a commercial and B2B environment. A background in broader marketing or communications disciplines is a plus;
- Familiar with digital platforms and experiences to enhance events;
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously;
- Team spirit, flexibility and enthusiasm, a self-starting mentality, and an autonomous mindset;
- Confident and charismatic interpersonal and negotiating skills, with the ability to convince and influence others;
- Excellent communications, including writing and verbal, skills. Fluent in both English, and Dutch;
- A problem-solving attitude with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
