As part of the Application Development Team (ADT), you will contribute to the design and implementation of control software for the control units.
As part of the Application Development Team (ADT) you contribute to the design of the control software for the control units and implement it. You will think about new features that improve the comfort and efficiency of heat units for residential homes and buildings. In the role of Control Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the functional behavior of the boiler and work with internal and external developers to discuss and define concepts.
Your duties include developing control software based on product and process requirements, designing, documenting and implementing software including (unit) tests, and implementing new features in tools such as Simulink. You will also work with other departments worldwide to bring specifications and software to the desired level.
Within the department some SAFe trains have been set up with multidisciplinary teams, which are responsible for Hardware (mechanical and electrical) and Software (control-application, mobile-app and embedded) development.

We require.
- BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering (EE), Software Engineering or Computer Science (CS) or related study with at least 2 years of relevant work experience or similar level;
- Experience implementing functions in C/C++ and algorithm development;
- Experience with C++, Python and Simulink is a must;
- Knowledge of the latest software development techniques and methods;
- Practical knowledge with debugging software;
- Analytically strong, proactive, dynamic attitude and hands-on mentality;
- Experience with Agile development is a plus;
- Communicative skills, both oral and written, in the English language.
You are able to see the big picture and thus separate main issues from side issues and enjoy working together in a team. You have the Agile mind set (making mistakes and learning from them, delivering value to the customer is key, self-organizing and transparent). You take responsibility for your decisions and actions and you resolve conflicts constructively. Finally, you have good persuasiveness and communication skills, both oral and written.
Team player with a hands-on mentality
Candidate is entrepreneurial and he/she thinks in solutions instead of problems. In addition, you work independently and decisively; you take action on your own initiative and ensure that things are realized.
It is agreed that we will work (together) 2 days a week at the office in Deventer. We expect that the travel distance fits this.
