Our Energy Systems division is seeking a Sales Manager based in Northern Europe to support the Smart Cable Guard (SCG) Unit.

About the role 

Our Energy Systems division is seeking a Sales Manager based in Northern Europe to support the Smart Cable Guard (SCG) Unit. SCG is an online multi-functional monitoring system for MV power cable networks, offering unique functions such as detecting and locating weak spots and faults in underground power cables. The system provides immediate warnings when issues arise. As part of the Global SCG team, you will collaborate with colleagues to sell and assist customers in implementing SCG systems and services in Northern Europe.


The primary goal of the role is to support the Smart Cable Guard Unit in fulfilling its mission of safeguarding life, property, and the environment, aligning with our company vision to be a trusted voice addressing global transformations. The position involves regular customer visits, with an expected travel commitment between 25% and 50%.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identify, drive, and facilitate sales while advising clients on the application of SCG within their networks.
  • Achieve sales targets in Northern Europe.
  • Own the order intake and pipeline targets for SCG in assigned countries.
  • Increase the visibility of Smart Cable Guard in the market, serving as the go-to person for online condition management of underground medium voltage cables.

About you 

To qualify you must have, essential skills 

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a Sales background with a focus on relationship-based selling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
  • Commercial awareness, result orientation, and a proven track record in product sales.
  • Existing network within the DNO/DSO utilities.
  • Customer-centric approach with the ability to challenge customer needs.
