As Diagnostic Engineer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining the software for the DAVIE-tool (Diagnostic and Programming tool). You will be using: Grade-X (automotive specific development environment), OTX, ODX, test benches and -vehicles. The core of you duties is to convert vehicle information from electronic vehicle systems to off-board diagnostic functionality. With this, we enable the workshop employees to diagnose the trucks. In this position, you will be challenged over the entire development process (customer wishes, design, implementation and validation) and you will have to use your knowledge and skills on all these tasks. Continuous improvement and the pursuit of efficiency in collaboration with colleagues is of great importance to achieve the team goals.

The Diagnostics department is part of the After Sales organization within Marketing & Sales. This department consists of ~ 45 people that are responsible for the development, production and maintenance of the off-board diagnostic equipment (hardware and software) for DAF Trucks and PACCAR Engines workshops and factories worldwide.

For this challenging position, we are looking for candidates with a bachelor or master degree with a focus on automotive, mechanical or electrical engineering and knowledge of computing applications. Three years of experience is necessary. A good proficiency of the English language is a must, Dutch is a pre. Advanced communication skills are a necessity for this position. It is important to monitor your own development process.
