Working at a leading superyacht builder
In this role you will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- As a Project Buyer, you will be an integral part of an inspiring project team dedicated to the realization of luxury yachts.
- You will take charge of the end-to-end supply chain process, closely aligning with the project schedule, to ensure the timely and high-quality supply in collaboration with relevant suppliers and the project core team. This will involve managing a portion of the 125 procurement packages, each involving approximately 200 suppliers for every yacht.
- Your role will entail vigilant monitoring of supplier progress to ensure the punctual and accurate execution of orders.
- When operational or contractual challenges arise with suppliers, you will play a crucial role in their resolution, working closely with the Project Team.
- Your responsibilities also encompass the identification of bottlenecks, such as capacity constraints and established technology, as well as opportunities for enhancement within the designated package.
- You will be responsible for executing and overseeing contract management for suppliers, which includes managing framework agreements and escalations. Additionally, you will provide support to management and colleagues to secure the most advantageous agreements within the package.
- Establishing and nurturing working relationships with third parties, such as co-makers and subcontractors, will be essential to your role.
- You will actively engage in a collaborative co-makership with partners, capitalizing on your expertise and mutual respect to identify and realize potential synergies.

- A good command of written and spoken English (and Dutch).
