Machnet Medical Robotics is a startup company founded 2021 as a spin-out from the University of Twente. We are dedicated to improving patient outcomes through the use of robotics and advanced technology. Our current innovations are based on Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) and breast biopsies. Both robots are built from non-ferro materials and can perform a procedure inside an active MRI. The output of these procedures are ‘first time right accuracy’, highly increasing patient comfort, time savings on human expertise and hospital equipment.
We are seeking an experienced and skilled (Embedded) Software Engineer to join our team. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of software for our medical robotic devices used in image guided procedures.
As an (Embedded) Software Engineer you apply your academic insights and/or programming skills to develop interfacing software between imaging modalities (MRI and X-ray) and our robotic technology.

- You have a Master's or PhD degree in Computer Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or similar;
- You have strong analytic skills and a passion for solving complex programming problems;Innovator and interested in biomedical technology;
- A few years of working experience in the field of image processing and analysis
- Experience with programming C/C++ and/or Matlab/Python;
- You are focused, organized and have a drive to develop high quality products;
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and/or English.
