Project Planner Superyachts

You work for world-class clients, who are used to clear schedules and deadlines that are actually met. This will be your personal responsibility within the project team. As a Project Planner, you are the extra pair of hands, eyes and ears that are indispensable for project management and the operational construction team.

Within this organisation you plan one project at a time, the overall planning of that superyacht is therefore your responsibility. Among other things, you manage the important project milestones. You also monitor project gates between various disciplines and phases within production. You notice shifts in the planning and advise the construction team on how to deal with this.

Continuous improvement is an important core value within this organisation.

As a Project Planner you make an important contribution to this by not only identifying improvement initiatives, but also defining and executing them. You also have a responsibility in safeguarding methodologies and developing (your own) process improvements.

Some of the daily activities are:

• Drafting, managing and controlling the integral project planning;
• Carrying out or guaranteeing mitigating measures on identified risks, bottlenecks and deviations;
• Coordination with subcontractors;
• One-on-one consultations with production planners from the various production departments;
• Manage, process and make various types of data available to different disciplines during all phases of the project.

Hierarchically you fall under the Planning department and operationally you are managed by the relevant Project Manager.

• Bachelor working/thinking level (technical education);
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar position;
• Knowledge of yacht building (or shipbuilding);
• Knowledge of business processes and project activities;
• Software knowledge including Office (MS Project is an advantage);
• Good command of English language.
