Senior Engineer Interior Superyachts

Due to expansion at our client, they are seeking new colleagues for the Engineering Interior department. As a Senior Engineer, you share responsibility for the timely and high-quality development of the final design of a yacht.

The Interior discipline of the Engineering department is accountable for the realization of the engineering for the entire interior of the super yacht. This includes items such as stairs, floors, ceilings, and also fixed furniture, for instance.

You accomplish this in collaboration with your fellow engineers and the Lead Engineer to whom you report. In your daily activities, you are accountable for the team that manages detailed engineering, 3D models, and various project datasheets. Additionally, you provide leadership to this team.

To ensure a streamlined engineering and production process, you closely collaborate with fellow engineers from other disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Exterior, and Special Engineering. You adhere to the standards and quality and maintain them throughout the process. You also share responsibility for the flow of information to and from production. As a result of a streamlined process and effective information flow to production, production schedules and standards can be upheld within the established timeframe, budget, and with the correct quality.

The ideal candidate is available full-time and holds at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent in terms of education and thinking level. You possess a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a comparable role and preferably have experience within the shipbuilding or yacht construction industry.

You have knowledge of the complete construction process of seaworthy (super)yachts and excellent proficiency in both written and spoken Dutch and English. Furthermore, you are computer-savvy, including proficiency with CAD software such as NX, Team Centre, and other basic routines.

• You have extensive experience in coaching and motivating colleagues. You have strong communication skills; you are a conversational partner for other Senior Engineers and Leads. You oversee colleagues, ensuring they are well-informed about technical specifications and their developments.
• You are someone who stays informed about the aspects of the construction process that are relevant to you and your team and can respond effectively to them.
• You have at least 5 years of work experience in a comparable role, preferably within the shipbuilding or yacht construction industry. In addition, you have experience in leadership within a similar environment.
• With a minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in terms of education and thinking level.
