About this vacancy

Can you spearhead the expansion of the leading player in the chemical cleaning segment of the refining industry? Then join the team of RTI.

Refined Technologies is growing its team of Artisans with a Director of Business Development as it expands its horizons and increases its business presence in Europe. In this regional position, you act as the face of RTI to esteemed clients and lead the charge in fostering strong relationships with these clients, while practicing core behaviors of RTI. You develop and grow your branch by acquiring new clientele (European refineries).

Pricing proposals and other financial activities surrounding vessel cleaning are included in the scope of the dedicated Director of Business Development. Using your thorough understanding of consultative sales combined with a process background and competitive urgency, you schedule and lead sales presentations, position RTI as the preferred vendor, create pricing proposals for the territory, and acquire new business through referrals of enthusiastic partners, all to consistently exceed expectations.

Through training and other methods of learning, you understand the RTI core cleaning processes (as well as common industry piping circuits and equipment such as PFD or P&ID interpretation) so you can present these value-adding services to clients. You ensure that provided services are of the highest quality and follow up with clients to confirm RTI's cleaning met or exceeded expectations. You finalize and present reports regarding activities to key contacts of clients.

As Director of Business Development Europe, you are responsible for the following tasks:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with various levels of client personnel controlling vessel cleaning decisions
  • Conforming cleaning scopes for each cleaning
  • Identifying and tracking client turnaround schedules 18 months in advance for the assigned territory
  • Supporting Operations planning meetings, scope changes, and execution activities for all work awarded in the territory
  • Securing client purchase orders on time to ensure that the RTI Operations team has enough advance notice to provide excellent service
  • Handle accounts receivable, delay fees, or holiday fees issued in the territory
  • Executing small projects in the field on an as-needed basis and performing other duties to support RTI's business needs
  • Working in tandem with the Director of Operations of the area to ensure that clients receive prompt responses to their inquiries along with timely planning documents, and facilitating the timeline of deliverables
