Digital Platform Lead


In this role, you will be leading the digital platform & mar-tech transformation within Philips Domestic Appliances. With your extended experience in digital marketing and mar-tech you will be responsible for leading the design, build and deployment of Domestic Appliances platform operating models (process, governance, tech, platform KPIs, trainings) ensuring Domestic Appliances businesses and markets are enabled to deliver best-in-class digital marketing experiences. You will be working with IT and other stakeholders to shape and optimize our digital marketing platform operating models and mar-tech infrastructure, driving this as a key stream within our Domestic Appliances marketing transformation program.


You are responsible for:

  • Act as Platform Lead manager for Domestic Appliances marketing transformation program concerning platform operating models and mar-tech infrastructure including CRM, content management, e-trade, paid & organic activation, web and app management, analytics and related digital services management.
  • Work with POs to assess Domestic Appliances current operating models.
  • Lead the gathering of platform requirements from business stakeholders and translating these in solutions and roadmap, working closely with IT and other expert teams.
  • Lead the platform design of Domestic Appliance future operating models including designing new processes, tooling, RACIs, SLAs & KPIs.
  • Building the future capability operating models together with IT, mar-tech suppliers and other key stakeholders (i.e marketing insights & analytics team; brand and creative team, app owners, hub teams).
  • Manage the deployment of the future operating models across 30+ countries together with IT and deployment partner (manage the deployment roadmap, comms, ensuring training is in place).
  • Install platform governance models and SLAs.
  • Manage overarching comms and program updates to business and markets concerning platform developments.
  • While building the future operating models, manage current platform enablement structure and governance (i.e digital activation policy) with PO-team.


You are a part of the new Domestic Appliances Digital Platform team within the global Domestic Appliances Marketing department. You will report into the global Head of Media and Platforms and will work with a strong team of 7 platform POs. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor, Master or comparable practical experience
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in digital platform management with a track record of building and delivering corporate digital mar-tech infrastructure interfacing between business and IT.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leading platform or mar-tech related delivery teams.
  • End-to-end digital experience with strong understanding what it takes to build enablement structures that touch across the consumer decision journey.
  • Deep expertise of corporate digital marketing tooling and mar-tech landscape.
  • Strong experience with LEAN management.
  • Strong experience with designing new operating models including processes and RACIs.
  • Experience in managing teams in an agile (marketing) environment preferred.
  • Superior analysis, research, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Great communication skills - ability to challenge on detailed technicalities to experts and zoom out to explain to senior stakeholders, including creating clear program updates in Powerpoint
  • Strong facilitation skills (i.e experience in running team meetings and workshops) and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluency in Business English
  • Able to flourish in a corporate international environment with multiple teams to liaise with
  • Proven experience in building and transforming an organization from people, tooling, data and process
  • Working experience in consumer focused, complex, matrixed, multinational environment. Preferably with experience in consumer goods, online services, e-commerce, or mobile applications
