The Local Solution Lead ensures that the IT application landscape solutions as implemented remains fully functional, enabling the business to operate its processes in an uninterrupted, integrated and optimized manner!
What needs to be done?
- Ensure all issues are addressed effectively, coordinating on behalf of the Howden business the process from issue identification to resolution with internal and external service/software providers.
- Implementing and maintaining adequate and effective IT application landscape governance, putting in place and maintaining controls and structures to ensure that the use of the system, and its processes remain in alignment and adherence with the solution and processes as implemented, including:
- Processes as defined through the templates;
- Maintaining and storing local instructions (white boxes / process descriptions and maps);
- Data governance and maintenance;
- Usage of the system functionality.
- Facilitate and lead regular reviews of the business needs alignment with the IT application landscape with key stakeholders and assess IT application landscape enhancement requirements to support Business Unit strategic plans.
- Meet with Data leads to discuss and agree issues and solutions with regards to data – Data owner and user competence, give feedback to Managers and MD.

- Bachelor degree in the field of ICT, Industrial Engineering and Management or Technical Business Administration and knowledge of IT systems and processes.
- 0-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Fluent English language skills, verbally and in writing is a must.
- Good knowledge of business processes within an engineering / manufacturing environment.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Process mapping and improvement skills.
- Ability to write functional solution requirements and to manage people to resolve issues.
- Ability to setup and maintain excellent data governance and maintenance.
- Willing and ability to gather knowledge on new IT systems and processes.
- Being able to follow formal support processes to address system issue.
- Willing to travel occasionally to the locations of commercial parties or the global support teams.
