At ASML we invent, develop and manufacture world-leading high tech lithography machines for our chip making customers. These tailor-made machines can image billions of structures in a few seconds with an accuracy of a few silicon atoms. Our headquarters are located in the heart of the Eindhoven region, also known as ‘Brainport’, Europe’s top tech hub.
The Risk and Business Assurance (RBA) division focus upon Risk Management and Information Security Management. The IT Security team is part of this division and focus upon the security controls implemented to protect the technology and infrastructure developed, managed, and used by ASML sectors. By this RBA IT Security contributes to the ASML Mission: Working together to accelerate ASML in accomplishing its business goals, securely.
Role And Responsibilities
As Senior IT Security Specialist you are responsible to assess, support and report out on security activities to the domain of “Network and Endpoint”. You are a Subject Matter Expert (SME) towards operational teams and the 1st line security departments within the area of IT Security and provide them with guidance, training or other information needed to stay in control. Further, you are the advisor within your domain to management, the team and competence center level.
As Senior IT Security Specialist you are responsible for (but not limited to) the following tasks:
- Report out upon defined security KPI’s and engage and align with stakeholders upon root cause and corrective actions if targets are not met.
- Responsible to assure that security and assurance requirements are effectively covered within security policies, standards, baselines, operating procedures, and guidelines within the domain "Network and Endpoints".
Verify adequate implementation by ASML organization of security policies / standards and security controls related to the used technology by ASML within the network and endpoint domain.

Education And Experience
- Bachelor or master’s degree or equivalent
- More than 3 years’ SME experience with the domain of Network and Endpoint security.
- Technical knowledge of two areas within the Network and Endpoint Security domain.
- Network Connections & Services
- Servers / VDIs
- Experience with Zero Trust.
- Knowledge and hands on experience of relevant security framework will be a plus (ISO2700/1/2, ISO22301, ISO31000, NIST, SANS)
- A security certificate of CISSP, CISM, CISA or other is considered a plus.
