The position
The Legal Counsel Business is responsible for providing high-level legal guidance to business management teams to align legal initiatives with company goals. The role drafts and negotiates contracts with key stakeholders and manages outside counsel for complex matters, working independently. The role offers expert advice and training on a wide range of topics, including compliance, intellectual property, regulatory issues, privacy, M&A, and business integrations. The role establishes and executes legal objectives and work plans to ensure successful project outcomes within the legal and business framework.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participates in one or more business management teams, providing strategic legal guidance to align legal initiatives with business goals.
- Drafts and negotiates contracts with strategic partners and stakeholders, while managing outside counsel to ensure efficient handling of legal matters, working independently.
- Offers expert advice and conducts training on contracting, compliance, security, intellectual property, quality and regulatory matters, healthcare compliance, privacy, mergers and acquisitions, business integration, and the introduction of new business models and solutions.
- Establishes legal objectives and work plans for assigned projects, ensuring the successful execution and achievement of key deliverables within the legal and business framework.
- Keeps track of the main developments and provides broad legal and compliance oversight, guidance, and counseling.

About you
Minimum required Education:
Master's Degree in Law
Minimum required Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience in a specialized legal area, for example: commercial, corporate, IT, IP, Q&R, compliance, security and privacy, as well as new business models e.g. XaaS, LSP
Minimum required Certification:
Qualifications required to practice as in-house counsel in the relevant jurisdiction.
Preferred Education:
Post Graduated in any of the following area: commercial, corporate, IT, IP, Q&R, Compliance, Security, Privacy law
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a law firm or as an in-house legal department.
- Experience in one or more of the following domains: international consumer/healthcare business; safeguarding compliance with internal company standards, antitrust, FCPA and other regulatory matters a matrix organization with complex multiproduct orientation; commercial contract and/or litigation, corporate experience
