The position

As a Control Systems Integrator, you will be responsible for the detailed design and integration of control systems within high-tech environments. You will work on

applications in the semiconductor industry, (autonomous) robotics, positioning stages and laser-based communication modules, collaborating with system architects,

software engineers and mechatronics teams to take systems from prototype to end product.

Key responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing controllers, including SW and FW interfaces, both in custom-made and off-the-shelf control platforms (e.g. PLC software in
  • Beckhoff TwinCAT).
  • Integrating, configuring and troubleshooting real-time controllers.
  • Performing machine calibrations and controller tuning to achieve optimal performance and stability.
  • Analyzing system behavior and identify improvements based on test results.
  • Building tools for simulation, data analysis, diagnostics, and visualization
  • Developing and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation setups

About you

Your strengths

  • You hold a Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Control Engineering or Mechatronics, supplemented by at least 5 years’ relevant work experience.
  • You have proven experience in real-time controller integration, machine calibration, controller tuning and designing.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: MATLAB/Simulink, TwinCAT, Python, LabVIEW.
  • You excel at testing and validation and know how to ensure complex systems operate reliably and reproducibly.
  • You have experience in high-tech fields such as semiconductors, robotics, positioning stages or laser-based communication modules.
  • You work accurately and in a structured manner and feel at home in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • You have a practical, solution-oriented mindset and can quickly get to the bottom of technical challenges.
