Experienced Electromechanical Designer wanted for complex high-tech system development in the Eindhoven region.
As an Electromechanical Designer, you are responsible for the design and development of advanced electromechanical modules within complex high-tech systems. Your role includes:
- Acting as a technical sparring partner to Architects and System Designers, translating system requirements into innovative concepts and detailed electromechanical designs
- Performing (hand) calculations, tolerance analyses, and defining critical-to-quality dimensions, while visualizing designs in 3D
- Contributing to integral product development in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, with a strong understanding of system-level integration
- Executing design verification activities, including prototyping, mechanical testing, validation, and reporting
- Designing detailed mechanical assemblies such as enclosures, heatsinks, and RF/EMI shielding, with a focus on manufacturability, durability, and cost efficiency
- Ensuring designs meet customer requirements and are manufacturable, assembleable, testable, serviceable, and cost-effective, while collaborating with suppliers and sharing electromechanical expertise internally

To succeed as an Electromechanical Designer, you bring the following background and skills:
- BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanics with at least 7 years of electromechanical design experience
- Experience developing modules for E-beam, X-ray, Optical and/or High-Voltage systems
- Proven experience designing mechanical components for electronic devices and PCB assemblies within complex high-tech equipment
- Strong expertise in thermal and structural analysis, including full-module thermal management for electronics and enclosures
- In-depth knowledge of materials (e.g. non-magnetic), insulation properties, environmental conditions (vacuum, cleanliness, thermal behaviour, stability), and Design for Assembly & Manufacturing principles
- High proficiency in 3D CAD tools, including complete 2D technical drawings, assembly models, specifications, and engineering documentation
