We are recruiting on behalf of our (anonymous) partner, a respected international financial organization, for a Junior BI Specialist. This is a great opportunity for someone at the start of their data career to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and mature BI environment. You'll work with tools like Snowflake, DBT, and Qlik, contributing to the development of dashboards and data models that support key business decisions.
As part of a collaborative team, you will learn from experienced data professionals while contributing directly to the organization's data-driven ambitions.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development and maintenance of data models in Snowflake and DBT
- Building dashboards and visualizations using Qlik (experience with Tableau or Power BI is also welcome)
- Writing and optimizing SQL queries
- Working with stakeholders to understand their data needs and turn them into solutions
- Helping to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and performance across reports
Start: As soon as possible
Duration: 12 to 24 months
Availability: Full-time preferred (32–40 hours per week)
- Interviews: Two rounds — first with recruiter and team member, second with a manager or stakeholder, ideally both in-person in Rotterdam
You’ll be placed with one of our trusted clients in the asset management sector — an international company known for its stable and forward-thinking data environment. Their BI teams are collaborative, experienced, and always looking to innovate.
The organization supports hybrid working, with team presence required on-site three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). The remaining days can be worked remotely.
- Gross monthly salary up to €3,800 (depending on experience)
- 9 additional leave days (ADV) on top of standard holidays
- Hybrid working: 3 office days required (Tuesday to Thursday), other days remote
- Duration: 12–24 months
- Hours: 32–40 hours per week
- A strong interest in BI, data modeling, and dashboarding
- Familiarity with SQL and a basic understanding of relational databases
- Experience with BI tools like Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI (from studies, projects, or internships)
- Eagerness to learn tools like Snowflake and DBT
- Good communication skills in English (Dutch is not required)
- A collaborative mindset and a hands-on attitude
