Challenging interim position for a new sustainable production plant!
C2CA Technology B.V. is seeking an experienced Mechanical (Layout) Engineer to play a crucial role in our mission. In this role, you will oversee the design, planning, and optimization of layouts for industrial machinery and equipment.
As a Mechanical (Layout) Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring designs adhere to industry standards, evaluating and verifying engineering drawings, and leading large-scale projects from concept through to completion. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure mechanical systems are integrated seamlessly into overall project designs, focusing on manufacturability, safety, and cost-efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Oversees the planning, design, and optimization of layout for industrial machinery, equipment, and components used in sectors like mining, cement production, or heavy manufacturing.
- Review and verify mechanical engineering drawings, schematics, and models for accuracy, adherence to design specifications, and compliance with industry standards.
- Ensure that design prioritize manufacturability, safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and construction teams to ensure seamless implementation.
- Present design concepts and technical details to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and reliability of mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with electrical, civil, and process engineers to integrate layouts and mechanical systems into overall project designs.
- Analyze design challenges and develop innovative solutions to improve functionality, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new design technologies and best practices to enhance product innovation.

Our advanced processing and quality control technologies are already making a difference at our demonstration site in Hoorn, the Netherlands. Building on this success, we are determined to achieve 100% circular concrete with our commercial facility in S’Gravendeel.

- Hourly rate.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience as a Mechanical (Design) Engineer or Layout Engineer, with proven experience in the process industries such as mining, cement production, or heavy machinery sectors or manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, heavy machinery design, and process engineering.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale design projects from concept to completion.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, ISO) and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Ability to analyze and optimize equipment placement in layouts, focusing on maximizing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Proficient in reading and verifying complex engineering drawings.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
