As a Group Functions Financial Controller, you will lead, steer and support the overall Ingka financial reporting. This reporting is beneficial to people & planet, while it also protects and adds value to our assets, securing profitable growth as well as financial independence.

You can send in your application until Sunday, 23 February 2020. Interviews at the YER office in Rotterdam/Amsterdam will take place from Monday, 24 February to Friday, 28 February. In addition to the interviews at IKEA, a personality test (PI) will also be included in the process.

Functie

Group Functions leads and steers defined competence areas across Ingka Group, and supports the IKEA business operations. Group Functions acts as a cross-functional business partner and coordinates the total cost of the function as well as the related availability of competence and talent. The majority of these Group Functions are located in the Netherlands as well as in Sweden.

More specifically, you will:

  • Coordinate the budget, forecast and cost follow-up of the Group and Service Functions, including the preparation of management reporting
  • Set up and maintain the financial structures to follow-up cost as well as performance, and support decision-making in line with global frameworks
  • Work with the Group framework teams and functional leadership to minimise deviations from standard global frameworks for business needs as well as compliance reasons and secure effective ways of working
  • Work closely with Business Navigation to create insight into costs and performance as well as support business management
  • Perform variance analysis, reviewing and challenging reported actuals, forecasts as well as the first level of commentary
  • Be responsible for an efficient and effective process to recharge management/service fees (calculation, recharging, agreements etc.)
  • Ensure relevant, complete, accurate and timely Financial and Management Accounting and Reporting based on standard global frameworks as well as local legal requirements
  • Contribute to global projects that develop financial operations and reporting
  • Document internal financial controls and reviews of effectiveness
  • Secure and maintain a connection with as well as between core areas, business owners, group functions and process teams within Ingka Group
  • Secure cross-organisational readiness and continued business growth in terms of competence, performance as well as succession by enabling an end-to-end approach

Profiel

  • A degree (preferably a Master’s) in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounting, controlling or a finance-related field within a larger international structure, or as an auditor
  • Strong ability to prioritise, provide clear directions and multitask
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English
  • Excellent knowledge of measuring, processing and communicating financial information on economic entities in order to document the organisation’s resource management
  • Excellent knowledge of planning and measuring financial records in compliance with internal as well as external regulations and ensuring value for money in achieving business objectives as well as long-term profitable growth
  • Advanced knowledge of financial reporting rules, standards and manuals, along with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Advanced knowledge of assessing, analysing and mitigating risks in a business environment
  • Good understanding of data science, new technologies, analytics and their wide-ranging applications in a business context
  • Advanced knowledge of creating and implementing change initiatives as well as managing stakeholders
  • Good knowledge of project management processes, including methods and tools, as well as their integration
  • Ability to function as a strategic, tactical and operational business partner
