For the Mechatronic Development team in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, we are looking for a Thermal FEM Analyst.

Functie

Responsibilities, you;

  • Use FEM, experiments and other methods to analyse high-tech systems
  • Can make transparent design recommendations and where necessary development recommendations
  • Execute assignments in cooperation with customers and have a pro-active role in the design process
  • Will generate oral and written reports to the project manager and customer
  • Will contribute in internal knowledge/tool development related to thermal control engineering

High precision, high throughput and first time right are often the key words in our development projects. Our client carries out these projects in house, starting with the specification and concept phase and up and until prototyping, qualification and production of small series.

Profiel

  • You have a good knowledge of thermal theory and preferably also applied mechanics
  • You have knowledge of control engineering theory
  • You have a deep knowledge of FEM and other analyses methods
  • Knowledge of, and experience with commercial FEM Software, preferably ANSYS (Workbench/APDL) and/or HyperWorks
  • Knowledge of, and experience with Matlab/Simulink is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of mathematical methods to reduce the model order (MOR) is preferred
  • You have a good ability to express in an oral and written way
  • You can present your results and clarify your analyses with conviction
  • You feel comfortable working independently as well in a team
  • Minimally 2 years of relevant work experience is preferred
  • Design-oriented, with an eye for depth. Being able to link theory and practice
  • You have a thorough knowledge of technology and technique within your own field on higher vocational/scientific education (minimally M.Sc. or PhD) in mechanical engineering/applied physics/aerospace engineering
  • Ability to go in-depth, whilst keep on being pragmatic
  • Pro-active in cooperating and sharing knowledge with colleagues, capable of clear and goal-oriented expression
  • You have good knowledge of the languages relevant, particularly English
  • You are an analytical and creative problem solver
