For Grass Valley Cameras we are looking for a Project Leader Funding & Technology in the R&D department.
The Cameras business is part of the Live Production segment and located in Breda, the Netherlands. In the Breda location there are about 110 employees from various disciplines such as Product Management, R&D, Operations, Sales, Customer Services, Finance, IT and HR.
As the Project Leader Funding & Technology you will be responsible for identifying and managing new technologies for future camera products, with an important focus on the development of new CMOS image sensors, and will represent Grass Valley in collaborative European Funded projects that Grass Valley participates in.
For the CMOS image sensor development you will take up the role of program leader. As Officer Funding and Technology you will interface with senior management, product marketing, and the projects / programs that integrate the new CMOS image sensor(s) in broadcast cameras. Next to your project management responsibilities for R&D Cameras you will participate in the European funded projects in which Grass Valley develops its CMOS image sensors and other new technologies. You will also participate in the (bi)weekly R&D management meetings with the Director R&D, all group leaders and the other program managers to align all disciplines so the Breda R&D department works as effective and efficient as possible.
Manage technology roadmap with input from the different disciplines within R&D
Lead IC development project teams of about 5 engineers (bachelor and master level), through the development, and introduction of new CMOS image sensor designs
Plan, execute, and monitor and control for the project(s) scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communication, risks, procurement, and stakeholders. Schedule and keep on track program milestones based on company objectives dealing with changing functional needs, resource capacity constraints, risk exposure, and interdependencies within the local R&D department and with the worldwide (R&D) product lines (where relevant)
Prepare update reports to direct manager and present more detailed progress reports on staffing, progress, budgets and needs analysis for the program(s)
Manage for new image sensor designs the contacts with all partners in the image sensor supply chain
Manage European funded projects that Grass Valley participates in; either as a work package leader or as the overall project coordinator

Required Skills and Experience
7+ years of experience developing HW & SW products
3+ years of experience managing R&D projects with multiple technical teams and disciplines
You must demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills
Experience in managing programs and program budgets and mitigating risks and opportunities
Ability to deliver engaging, informative, well-organized communications on program status
Fluent in English, both verbal and written
Nice to Have:
Technical Master Degree, PMP certification or IPMA certification level C
Experience in managing IC design programs, or any exposure to analogue and / or digital design flows
Experience in cooperation with worldwide R&D teams
Experienced in implementing the lean enterprise philosophy
Experience in participating in European funded programs
