The Test Engineer is part of the Engineering Controls department, where electronics for control units and connectivity products (such as a smart room thermostat) are developed. The connectivity products include smart room thermostats (Nefit Easy), Apps and server. The groups realize the complete development of these products: Hardware, Mechanics, Software (Embedded, APP & Control), Project Management and Test Engineering. The Test Engineering group consists of eight people. For the connectivity products, we are looking for someone who will be responsible for setting up and testing the complete system.


As a Test Engineer you are part of a project team that focuses on developing the new smart thermostat products. Responsibilities:

  • Setting up an automated test environment
  • Drawing up test plans, performing tests and recording results
  • As a Test Engineer you maintain contacts with other departments at both national and international level
  • You are innovative and enterprising and look beyond your own department and work field
  • As a Test Engineer you recognize timely bottlenecks in technology, quality and / or planning and are able to communicate and solve these transparently

You contribute to the continuous improvement process in our department.

  • A completed HBO or university degree in (Technical) Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Technology or equivalent
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of mobile app testing
  • Work experience with electronics development is an advantage
  • Agile mindset! Experience with Scrum
  • Experience with test methods such as ISTQB or TMAP
  • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols
  • Experience with test automation
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, both orally and in writing
