As a component engineer your focus will be on selection, qualification and accurate registration of off-the-shelf components. Other responsibilities:

  • Support the increasing demand from the Philips businesses for component management and supporting the roll out of Windchill (cPLM) within Philips
  • Actively support Philips businesses globally and provide technical support to your team on Component Management
  • Actively support improvement of CM methods and way-of-working
  • Selection, qualification and introduction of new components in the component database
  • Ensure complete, accurate and up-to-date component data in the component database
  • Lead root cause analysis and improvement actions for component related issues

  • BSc/MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant area of expertise
  • Experience in Component management and lifecycle management
  • Experience in database management and data modelling, data migration, reporting, master data management and data cleansing (all related to component management)
  • Competence in the area of Electronic Design and business models is a plus
