As a Plant Controller, you will be responsible for setting up solid financial grounds for the business in the Netherlands, paving the way for the company’s growth. As a member of the local management team, you report to the Country Manager and the CFO. Focus in the position is on business- sales and cost control. You will be the Finance business partner for the local plant as well as the headquarters.

You will be responsible for setting up solid financial grounds for the business in the Netherlands, paving the way for the company’s growth. As a member of the local management team, you will:

  • Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close (including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash-flow statement)
  • Supervise bookkeeping, but not limited, to book, bill, reconcile and retro accrual, cash, cash applied to A/R, payment daily
  • Manage the consolidated forecasting/budgeting process and provide expert guidance to HQ
  • Supervise preparation of monthly management report and accompanying schedules, worksheets and narratives, including “Budget vs. Actual” variance reports
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, providing insights on the business evolution, for both local and HQ purposes
  • Define and follow up relevant KPI
  • Prepare treasury reports and cash flow forecast
  • Analyze gross margin (per product, customer, business line)
  • Monitor fixed costs, identifying areas for efficiencies Oversee accounts payable, keeping past due accounts at minimum
  • Manage relationship with external auditors, providing a good understanding of production costs, inventories, intercompany transactions and other balance movements
  • Provide technical and analytical support to the Country Manager, group CFO and corporate teams
  • Proactively participate in continuous improvement projects
  • Be a key part in the local management to impulse the organization
  • Manage and lead the Finance team
  • In coordination with Group’s CFO, manage relationships with financial institutions, banks, tax advisors, external legal counsel and other professional services

  • Bachelor's of Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Controlling
  • 5 years of related experience in Finance
  • Experience in working with SAP
