As a Product Engineer Structures, Frames and Booms, you will be responsible for the design of structural components in current and future new product development programs.


More specific you will be responsible:

  • For machine functional area’s chassis, frames, booms and supporting/substructures on the different machines
  • To support and validate FEA analysis, provide input to load cases and review results
  • For understanding and maintaining whole vehicle layout, weights, and CG tracking

In addition, you will:

  • Primary focus on the development of components to achieve program performance, efficiency, quality and financial goals
  • Compile and furnish necessary information to document the design solution required for building of prototypes and adoption of the design with possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel
  • Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and models/drawings for engineering changes
  • Work with PV&V to develop and/or execute test or analysis plan for product verification and validation
  • Work regularly with colleagues in different units across the world
  • Supports system and sub system FMEA’s
  • Support design challenges and team efforts on various aspects of the machine (solution system / booms / hydraulics)
  • Support engineering specifications which must be fulfilled to supply chain for strategic sourcing of new and existing designs
  • Support engineering specifications which must be fulfilled for end-user information, such as: manuals, charts, and product safety materials
  • Apply knowledge of company products, policies and practices to provide economies through standardization of parts and products
  • Provide technical support and problem solving expertise to marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organization

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering
  • 4+ years product engineering experience, testing and/or design work
  • Solid knowledge of CREO (or similar 3D modelling Software), PDMLink and Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of engineering principles and experience with FEA analysis
  • Demonstrated effective communication, organization and leadership skills to collaborate with other engineering teams
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 15%
  • Fluent English in speaking and writing

A strong candidate will also has:

  • Self-motivator with strong attention to detail
  • Good Dutch and German language skills
  • Technical Knowledge of and affection with agricultural, forestry or construction machines, Sprayer knowledge preferred
  • Experience with product development processes (EPDP) and/or Customer Acquisitions Process (CAP)
