As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the Development and validation of Electrical systems and components for self-propelled and trailed agricultural machines in current and future new product development programs.


More specific you will be:

  • Responsible to create and maintain the electronics product specification for new product programs and running changes
  • Responsible to create and maintain EL systems requirements and design documentation
  • Responsible for the development of electrical/electronic systems architectures, including electrical schematic creation and review, vehicle network system setup and management, vehicle power budget analyses and vehicle network architecture design

In addition, you will:

  • Design Electrical schematics, selection of components and interconnection of different I/Os
  • Define harness layout based on component locations, CAN distribution, manufacturing strategy and machine configuration modularity
  • Engage in enterprise teams to monitor develop of components and perform system integration activities for sprayers
  • Interact and coordinate Routing design changes with IJD
  • Interact and coordinate with Manufacturing, systems design, quality in order to get information and perform design validations
  • Perform analyses and provide different design alternatives for electrical problems
  • Support build of prototypes, electrical test and trouble shooting in product validation and verification
  • Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and models/drawings for engineering changes
  • Supports system and sub system FMEA’s
  • Apply knowledge of company products, policies and practices to provide economies through standardization of parts and products
  • Provide technical support and problem solving expertise to marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organization

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or Systems Engineering
  • 4+ years product engineering experience, testing and/or design work
  • Experience working with harness modelling and drawing creation (CHS harness XC)
  • Understanding of harness design, CAN communication and restrictions
  • Solid knowledge of CREO (or similar 3D modelling Software), PDMLink and Microsoft Office (pr)
  • Demonstrated effective communication, organization and leadership skills to collaborate with other engineering teams
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 15%
  • Fluent English in speaking and writing

A strong candidate will also has:

  • Good Dutch, German and/or Italian language skills
  • Technical Knowledge of and affection with agricultural, forestry or construction machines, Sprayer knowledge preferred
  • Experience with product development processes (EPDP) and/or Customer Acquisitions Process (CAP)
