Over deze vacature
Are you the legal professional capable of keeping financial markets safe? While elegantly combining a firm stance with excellent client service? We can’t wait to meet you.
ABN AMRO Clearing Bank (AACB) is a top three player in clearing globally. They are ambitious and customer oriented, striving to provide the best integrated service package for their professional clients. In the role of Legal Counsel Contracting you will actually make a difference in the pursuit of their goals.
The Contracting Unit is responsible for any and all agreements entered into between AACB and its clients. This concerns their master clearing contracts, as well as for example credit agreements, security documents, additional service agreements and guarantees. First of all, you will be negotiating these agreements with their (prospective) clients and/or their lawyers. In doing so you will utilise your outstanding legal expertise and drafting skills while granted the opportunity to learn about clearing, trading and financial markets on an ongoing basis. Second, your pragmatic approach is very much valued when advising internally on the contents of legal documentation, as well as with a view to the contracting processes. In addition to handling clients’ and internal queries, the Contracting Unit oversees and advises on the contracting lifecycle, continuously working with other teams to improve and automate. Furthermore, you are expected to signal regulatory developments and initiate updates to the contracts or processes where required. In short, the Contracting Unit is the first point of contact for all matters relating to client agreements. In this role you are strongly encouraged to share your knowledge and connect with sparring partners across the various departments.
ABN AMRO Clearing is recognised as a global leading provider of integrated solutions in clearing, execution, custody, financing and risk management. With 10 offices globally, they are able to service clients on 160+ exchanges, MTFs and FX liquidity centres, processing over 20 million trades daily. By sensing the need in the market, they continue to re-invent the client experience with innovative solutions such as ‘Banking as a Service’ and ‘Retail One Stop Shop’, including fractions, effectively linking up market infrastructure with the Fintech world.
Joining AACB means working towards a meaningful goal, together with a wide group of people with different backgrounds and different ideas. The combination of flexibility and responsibility in this role grants you the opportunity to set priorities and choose your own focus in improving the team’s and AACB’s services. The organisation will inspire you to keep improving your knowledge and skills, which we facilitate by broad educational possibilities.
