Are you the Software Design Engineer who is eager to learn and apply agile principles to expand ASML’s fastest growing business? As developer in an ASML software team, you will be responsible for developing code to realize the needed software functionality to help grow our business. You enjoy to be challenged by complex projects in a multidisciplinary context. You are focused on and motivated by realizing business value. You’re passionate about continuous improvement and enjoy working in an agile software development context.

You contribute to the software realization using C# and React software technologies and apply a scrum based, agile way of working and you embrace full-stack software developments in general. Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are crucial. You will work towards meeting and exceeding expectations. You will identify and understand the needs of our clients and be responsive, logical, flexible and quality focused.

You will be part of the YieldStar Recipe Center software development team of ASML. A YieldStar metrology machine has many different settings that define what and how to inspect on a wafer. These settings are stored in a so-called recipe. Recipes can be created and updated not only via a user interface, but also via automation. YieldStar Recipe Center is a centralized software to manage all recipes of customers in a factory. YieldStar Recipe Center team makes sure that this is feasible in an easy user friendly way, whilst maintaining compatibility and consistency. This team collaborates closely with ASML customers and their representatives all over the world resulting in delivering value in shortest possible iterations. There are ties with many parts of the software of Business Line Applications and, as such, also interfaces with multiple teams.


  • Act as scrum team member
  • Embrace full-stack software developments
  • Demonstrate end-to-end ownership for feature/story based software engineering
  • Align specifications with UX, product and platform architects
  • Secure both software and product quality
  • Ensure adequate fit of software deliverables in the YieldStar software platform
  • Software realization, including design, testing and documentation
  • Act as buddy in pair-programming
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of our Agile software development for the software department as a whole
  • Transfer knowledge to colleagues in both D&E and sectors supporting operations (e.g. Customer support)

  • BSc or MSc in computer science, mathematics, physics, mechanics, or electronics


  • 5 years in object oriented software development
  • 5 years of experience with C#
  • Experience with ASP.NET web services for .NET Framework 4.8 & .NET Core 3.1 (or newer)
  • Experience with developing, delivering and hosting web applications and services on a cloud environment (e.g. Azure/AWS/Google cloud)
  • Experience with recent versions of the .NET framework
  • Experience with full-stack software developments
  • Familiar with YAGNI/SOLID principles
  • Familiar with pair programming
  • Knowledge of React and typescript
  • Knowledge of Azure platform or other Cloud platforms
  • Knowledge and understanding of SAFe way of working
