The position

The IT infrastructure is an integral part of the automated material handling systems that we provide to our customers. The ICT projects department is responsible for the IT Infrastructure used for the customer implementations, implements various customer solutions worldwide and helps the support departments with the lifecycle management of the customer thereafter. 

The Team

The ICT Product Solutions team is part of the ICT Projects Department with its mission to standardize the end-to-end IT infrastructure for our customers across all Business Units as an innovative and trustworthy IT Infrastructure solution provider

As a DevOps Engineer IT Infrastructure, you will be responsible for

  • Improving the quality and reliability of the IT Infrastructure and its components
  • Developing Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions for customer environments
  • Setting up and maintaining automation tools and CI/CD pipeline framework(s)
  • Supporting colleagues from various IT & OT development teams with automation related topics
  • Evangelize the usage of automation and DevOps related practices and technologies with other teams
  • Validating platform and customer requirements and integrate them in a modular reusable way

Your profile

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or other technical field of study
  • More than 5 years relevant work experience in this area
  • Team player with a strong customer focus and good customer facing skills
  • You like to work using Agile methodology
  • Good software development and scripting skills
  • Safe handling of Linux (SLES, Ubuntu) and Windows (Server & Client OS)
  • Basic knowledge in IT Infra modules such as Server & Client Hardware, Network, SAN Storage & Virtualization
  • Knowledge of setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Very knowledgeable in version control via GIT
  • Experienced in Kubernetes and Container platforms
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools (preferred Terraform, Ansible, Packer)
  • You like to challenge status quo and drive change and possess a good level of entrepreneurship, i.e. you are motivated to explore new opportunities
