Are you an experienced Human Resources Manager or HR Business Partner? And do you have an intrinsic interest or experience in working for an organization operating in the healthcare industry? Then we have an opportunity not to be missed!

For the European Hematology Association (EHA), we are looking for an HR Business Partner. EHA is an international, diverse organization that promotes excellence in patient care, research, and education in hematology. As HR Business Partner at EHA, you’ll be responsible for all human resource tasks, supporting the Head of Operations and the Management Team: a fundamental role at an international, non-profit organization. Does this match your ambitions? Then read further below.

As an HR Business Partner, you are responsible for all human resource tasks under the supervision of the Head of Operations. You support the development and rollout of processes and procedures to ensure the continuous growth of EHA. By doing so, you nurture and grow the positive culture in this mission-driven, diverse organization. In this fundamental role, you advise the Head of Operations, Management Team, Managing Director, and the EHA Board to ensure our culture, policies, and practices align with EHA’s vision, mission, and core values. Further, you’ll be successful by fulfilling the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and keep HR strategy up to date
  • Provide dedicated guidance and coaching with a specific focus on employee support, performance, and career development
  • Provide advice and counsel to ensure consistent application of policies, procedures, and practices to promote an equitable work environment
  • Be custodian of relevant legislative changes relating to employment and benefits
  • Support managers to implement a performance management system that promotes ongoing feedback and drives high performance
  • Manage and coordinate the recruitment and selection process including drafting job profiles, sourcing candidates, holding interviews, and onboarding
  • Conduct and analyze exit interviews
  • Guide employees with (performance) problems
  • Manage the payroll administration

EHA is a non-profit organization located in The Hague, The Netherlands, which serves Clinicians and Researchers with an active interest in hematology. EHA is proud to be the largest European-based organization connecting hematologists worldwide to support career development and research, harmonize hematology education, and advocate for hematologists and hematology. EHA is governed by the EHA Board and supported in its activities by various committees. An international team of 45 staff members works in a dynamic, results-driven, and open environment (Executive Office).

EHA offers you a challenging job in an international, dynamic environment. You’ll have the possibility to follow courses that contribute to your personal development. Further, you’ll be rewarded with:

  • An entry gross salary ranging from €4,000 to €5,500 (depending on knowledge and experience), based on a full-time position of 40 hours
  • 8% holiday allowance
  • A collective, premium free pension plan
  • 30 vacation days
  • Commuting allowance
  • Flexible home working arrangement

We are searching for an HR Business partner who is strong, confident, and not afraid to express an opinion. Additionally, you are curious and a good listener who values the input of others. You are proactive, independent, and possess a hands-on mentality. You are capable of distinguishing and establishing structures whilst not losing the overview or the overall goal: you can plan, prioritize, manage, and execute multiple projects simultaneously. Likewise, you can direct decisions, and coordinate and monitor execution and developments. Hence, you enjoy working in a small organization. Further, you bring:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, or related field
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience as (associate) human resources manager
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch (and European) HR systems, labor laws, and labor regulation
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent English language skills, both oral and written
