Over deze vacature

Are you currently working in the mechanic/mechatronics/electrical/automotive/aviation industry (or similar) and have you always been curious about what else you can do with your training as a Technical Specialist? Are you also looking for a job with plenty of growth and development opportunities? Then grab your chance now!

Due to ASML's enormous growth ambitions and the worldwide demand for chips, YER is currently looking for several mechatronics/automotive/aviation technicians who would like to take a step into high-tech mechanical engineering. You will be fully trained by ASML in a year and you will soon notice that you end up in an environment where you work together with many colleagues from whom you can learn a lot and are warmly welcomed. It does not matter whether you have worked as a First Mechanic and are more into tinkering, or whether you are active as a Diagnosis specialist and are more of a combination function where you tinker and solve malfunctions.

In addition, there is a good chance that you can make a huge step in your employment conditions, ASML is a leader in the region. If you perform well, you will also be rewarded with a direct employment within ASML after one year. In your first year you will be seconded to ASML via YER. Whether people who work for a dealership or universal garages, from large companies to small family businesses, everyone is welcome to apply! At YER, we have extensive in-house knowledge of ASML and good contacts with the managers who work there. You will be well guided during the application process and you will also be extremely well prepared for your interviews.

Are you curious about the possibilities of whether ASML also suits you? Do you also want to increase the chances of being hired at ASML? Then apply now!

In short, you will build (assembly), test or disassemble very complex high-tech machines (depending on what you like best, we will of course be happy to discuss this with you in a personal conversation at YER what suits you best). You work in a team with your colleagues, to implement this in a good way. You will of course be well guided in this and the further you progress in your work, the faster you can pick up things independently. It is a lot of learning on-the-job and in the beginning you will receive a lot of training, which you can also follow from home with a laptop that you get from ASML.

You will have to deal with precision mechanics, rough key work, cabling, troubleshooting (solving malfunctions), pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum technology, optics and much more. You and your team are jointly responsible for delivering a good product. These highly advanced machines are sold worldwide to the largest chip manufacturers, including TSMC, Samsung and INTEL.

The tasks and responsibilities as described by ASML:

  • Assembling high-tech ASML subsystems or complete machines;
  • Identifying problems and solving them yourself (troubleshooting);
  • Working in a challenging cleanroom environment on state-of-the-art lithography systems;
  • The work is carried out with a high quality level and within the stipulated time (quality is always above quantity);
  • You discuss progress with each other and keep an eye on safety (safety first!);
  • Good ideas give you the opportunity to share them with each other to improve the work;
  • You also report what you have done (basic knowledge of the computer is very useful);
  • You can easily read procedures in English, sometimes you send an email in English and you often work on the basis of procedures and photos of how something should be built.
